The Labourers International Union of North America, Local 837 has developed and established a Local Apprenticeship Committee (LAC). The LAC governs the Apprenticeship programs and Training programs in conjunction with the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development, Apprenticeship Office.
LiUNA Local 837 is a Training Delivery Agent (TDA) for the Construction Craft Worker and the Concrete Finisher Apprenticeships. The purpose of this training is to improve the employability of workers in Ontario, and to open up the vast opportunities to those workers who take a proactive approach to career management. The area of concentration is the heavy civil and ICI sectors of the industry.
