The Association of Ontario Land Surveyors (AOLS) is the governing body for land surveyors and land information professionals in Ontario. Members can practise under one or more of five branches: Cadastral, Geodesy, Geographic Information Management (GIM), Hydrography and Photogrammetry. The AOLS requires a degree in Geomatics or Geomatics Engineering from universities such as Ryerson, York, UNB, Calgary and Laval or equivalent.
